Google in the news
Its time to update our dictionaries, to google means to search. Google has been the most competent search engines available on the internet. It was found six years ago by sergey brin and larry page while they were still at Stanford University and today it has become a househod word and a worldwide phenomenon. Google has converted internet into an extremely fast and valuable research tool. You want some thing you got about it here.
The company is going for a public offering, with an intention to get the small invester a look in. The stock offering which is expected to raise as much as $2.7 billion is going to be conducted in an unusual method of online auction called the dutch way, a bid to make its shares more widely available. Morgan stanely and credit suisse First Boston were named as the underwriters for the deal.
The core buisness for google is the way of serach based advertising. This allows companies to purchase ads tied to specific keyword searches. This has been the most lucrative and rapidly growing markets in the technology sector. and some of the other products are froogle( a comparison shopping website), a local search engine, and gmail.
This has been the most anticipated offering since the dot-com bubble burst. The first people who are going to get benifited form the deal are the "the boys" as termed by silicon valley insiders brin and page. A list of the others who stand to be enriched should Google go public seems to prove that the rich get richer.
